Deep Terra was my final installation for Edinburgh College of Art Graduate degree show. This space encouraged the viewer to become aware of their bodies in space, to provoke thought of how their bodies may relate to the sculptures. Accompanied by a video of the artist performing movement inspired by the movement involved in making the sculptures, the viewer is encouraged to contemplate how they move around and interact with the sculptures. The space was a calming retreat from the busy gallery space where the viewer could breath in the subtle scent of incense, listen to the calming humming emanating from the central sculpture, and spend some time in the space with the art.
